Today at Enrich we watched a movie about air pollution. The most polluted city is in Iran, it's so polluted that cars have to use their lights at day. Did you know that Wellington is the cleanest city in the world?
Today in Chess I played Samantha and Jacob. I lost both my games but I still tried. I am 11th on Chess leader board. The top six are James, Libby, Darreyn, Thomas, Katie and Max.
Hi my name is Charlie. This year I am year 6. I go to Enrich on a Monday. Enrich is a place for gifted children. My favourite part of the day here is passion time. My strength area is Maths and Reading. My passion at the moment is soccer and sketching.

Wilson game and Chess
Today at Enrich we did a Wilson game called Bullseye. There were four teams of eight. The aim of the game is to get a bean bag in each of the four hoops. For each bean bag you got in a hoop you got one point. To win the game you have to get all of the bean bags in the hoops before the other teams.
At chess time I played against Jacob, Daniel and Matt. I won one of my games, and I stalemated Jacob and Daniel and I couldn't finish our game because chess time was over.

Chess and Talent development
Today at Enrich I did Chess and played Jacob, James and Emma. I lost all my games and I am now 7th on the Chess leader board.
At Talent development today I did science. We were making parachutes and we were testing different kinds of material. It was funny because none of the eggs got smashed or cracked!

High interest stations and Chess
Today at Enrich I did Cartooning in the high interest stations. My favourite sketch I did was the five dog. The hardest sketch to draw was the vampire. These are the names of the high interest stations, Chemistry, Biology and Cartooning.

Teacher Comment
Hi Charlie.
You had a fabulous day today - you tried painting using the style of impressionism, which you had a natural talent for! I love this style of painting because it is suppose to look messy, and you don’t have to paint lots of detail. I think our lily ponds are going to look great up in our classroom! I noticed you trying out a few new mental edge games today too. They are great fun - often we stick to the same ones, but once you learn how to play a new one, it often becomes a favourite. I really like Blokus - do you know how to play that one? It was great to see you organise yourself to get your blog post completed early today - it is great to stay on top of your workload - this is a really valuable skill you are developing. Well done Charlie! Katie.

Chess and Art
Today at Enrich we did art. It was fun because we learnt a new trick about painting. At first it was hard but then it got easy, very easy. We had to do the water up and down and the lily pads side to side. My favourite part was doing the water. I liked doing the water because it was the really easy.
Also this morning I played Chess against Matt. We played a game and I won but our 2nd game we couldn't finish it because the music went on. So we had to go down to the mat. My favourite part of the day was doing Chess because I like doing Chess. The top six is James, Eddie, Thomas, Libby, Meg, Max.

Enrich
Today at Enrich we talked about people throwing rubbish on the ground, not in the rubbish bin. This is bad for the environment. There should be a punishment for people who do it. There should be more rubbish bins and most of the new ones should be re-cylcing bins. We are thinking about making a garden where the rubbish bins are out the back on the path between two buildings.
